October 3, 2010
Alright. Its below 75 degrees outside, the calendar says its October, and everyone is selling pumpkins… So i’m gonna kick off my Autumn Baking season. These are some of the ingredients I LOVE using when it gets cold outside. Acorn squash is super easy to prep in deserts and savory dishes (it can replace pumpkin easily), Pecans always were autumnal to me… even though they are more of a summer thing in the south, apples are a no brainer, and fresh fig are paradise on earth. Whats missing? Oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom, molasses, and corn… but i can only photograph so much. So here we go… Autumn Baking starts today.
